Default 2005 MODELS ONLY: If you own XM RADIO, pls read:

Hello again from Scion Corporate:

The Scion Promise says: “We will consistently provide quality products and a friendly, transparent sales and service process.” We didn’t just mean your initial car buying experience; this is for as long as you own your Scion. We’re writing to show you just how serious we are!

Scion, Toyota and Lexus have forged a closer relationship with XM Satellite Radio, which allows us to lower the Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of the XM Radio receiver for our 2005 Scion vehicles. Don’t worry though; even though you have already purchased your Scion, you can still benefit. As a 2005 Scion/XM Satellite Radio receiver owner, we are offering you the opportunity to receive the difference between the MSRP for the receiver you purchased and its new, lower MSRP.

In order for you to take part in this offer please mail your proof of purchase and payment for the XM Satellite Radio receiver to the address below by March 1, 2005 and we will process your refund. You can also give us a call at 1-866-70-SCION (Monday-Friday 6:00am-5:00pm PST), and we will guide you through the process.

Thanks again for choosing Scion.

that and they're too busy making ugly suv's with moving roofs and supercharging sportcompacts to keep up with a growing horsepower market ... oh and keeping up with their recalls so glad to not have a gm car anymore :D

That's why Toyota is #1. I had a Tacoma truck with the defective head gasket issue on the 6 cylinder engine. Even with 145k on the odo, toyota went ahead and replaced the head gasket [a $600 hit] FREE of charge! GM or FORD?? ...Yeah right!!

As much as I like them doing this, they realize the price they were charging was insane, it took them a while but they realized it. And trust me it has NOTHING to do with a better relationship with XM. XM doesn't even make the hardware in the first place. This is a glorified way of saying, man these things aren't selling worth a damn, maybe we are charging WAYYYYY too much. Maybe would should make them only the cost of customers buying their own XM... twice, instead of 5 times.

Either way it is good of them to do, but still I always hate the spin that gets put on stuff.

I'm soooo going to chop someone's head off - I have an 04 xB by 1 month - 05's came out following month - and I added XM... So yeah - time to go put my salesman's ***** in the door and squeeze until I get my refund - be it dealer initiated or corp initiated...
