Sorry for the re-post, but I forgot to answer the 2nd part!! It's gonna be a 05' cuz generally, models are released 6 months or so ahead of the new year. I always figured it was a marketing thing.

I'm guessing it's labeled 2005, so that it doesnt get old too quickly since they want to release it ASAP in June. I'm also guessing it would depreciate faster if it was a "2 year old" 2004 in like 2 months. Anyone agree? I may be wrong.

Thanks for the reply guys! And Pablo touched off on something I was gonna ask next. I'm not sure if I should post it here or elsewhere but oh well. Pablo brought up depreciation and value of the car in the future. I know Scion has only been out for a bit but I was wondering, how well does the xA or the xB value hold up so far? Does anyone know if it holds solid like Toyota's other brands? I want a new car but I also want it to hold its worth in the future.

The last Motor Trend was saying that the Engine would be tuned by TRD. But then again they also said "it will probably be called the xC" :?
And about the Scions holding their value... You're not thinking of getting rid of it in the future are you?!?! Just kidding!

January 2004 issue of Motor Trend on page 30 said"Power will be from a version of the Camry 2.4-liter four, tuned by TDR"
Yes, it said T D R, NOT T R D
So, I assume it's TRD. Anyone have any thoughts?!
