2005 TC original owner, need advice
I have a 2005 TC with 70k miles, we bought new for the wife in 04. She now has a new FRS and I got the TC. It my driver but I want to change a few things and was looking for advice on the following " Thank you in Advance"
1. Getting ready to replace the struts: Monroe or KYB and I want to lower it, whats a good spring with no more that a 1.50" drop.
2. The rubber seal on the quarter window glass is split, I was told at Toyota that I would need to replace the complete window due to the fact the the rubber seal is permanently attached to the glass, is there another fix?
3. Has anyone installed a dynaliner under the carpet to reduce road noise ?
I think I can make this a fun driver, Thanks, Scott

1. I would Suggest you Checkout the TRD Lowering Springs. P/N PTR11-21070-03.
They lower the tC approximately 0.5” in the front and 1.5” in the rear.
2. Use Silicone Adhesive (Clear). See Previous Thread: https://www.scionlife.com/forums/sci...ng-off-233017/
3. I know of several local Stereo Auto shops that use Dynaliner for noise reduction.

If you have trouble locating TRD springs, you can also look at the Eibach Pro-kit. Word was that the TRD springs are just re-branded Eibach's. Whether or not that's true, they are a quality product with a drop that is not too aggressive and still very functional. You should be able to find plenty of pictures on this forum of people who've used both. I'd stay away from the rest of the brands, as most were about low ride height at the expense of suspension travel and/or ride quality.

1. I have the H&R sport springs on my tC and they are right at/just under the 1.5" drop your looking for.
I had the the TRDs before and were nice at 1-1.25 drop all around or so, no way would i say the difference between the front and rear drop is as drastic as mentioned above.
here is an old photo of my car on the H&R sport springs with stock wheels
2. as mentioned above, the trim is part of the whole glass assembly, using adhesive is the best bet at repair without replacing the whole thing.
3. there are threads here of sound deadening the interior that should come up in a search.
