Default 2006 tC Release Series 2.0?

I'm about to purchase a 2006 Scion tC. The owner says it is a Release Series 2.0 but there is no dash plate to indicate so. On the driver's door there is a VIN# and under that VIN is the number 200.
Does that mean this is unit 200 of 2600 that were manufactured that year?

How else can I verify that it's a Release Series 2.0. I tried calling the dealership and they had no clue.

Thanks

^^ there isn't any way to verify the number of the release(the production #)that I know of. Under my vin in my Rs2.0 is 401 but my number is 1823. Idk how the dealer wouldn't know. I heard that in order to order RS5.0 wheels that you would have to have an Rs5.0 vin number. Idk why that wouldn't be the same with the Rs2.0. You know what I mean? The only way to verify kinda just check the features. Rs2.0 mesh grill, Blitz blue paint( check the jambs and under hood to.) If it isn't the same color than its a clone I guess.lol GL

I have seen a few tC's being advertised as RS but they're really just regular ones with the OEM GFX or other accessories etc. Another way is what color it actually is and features it's supposed to have like RS2 said

First get us pics or a link to the pics. But the dealer should be able to tell by the VIn#. If they cant they are stupid! Try another dealer. And a car can always be painted to look like and RS.

not to mention to see if it has the Special RS items that were produced for the 2.0 (ex. RS2.0 grilles, the special silver stock rims)

Thanks - Here is the site http://smartnewlook.com/06Scion/ where the car is listed. It has a vehicle history report on the site that indicates via NMVTIS (national data base) that it is a Release Series 2.0 but I have worked with NMVTIS before and I know they make mistakes, especially with the trim on vehicles. Still not sure if it's a RS 2.0 or not.

I really hope someone doesn't buy that car.. seller doesn't know ____. That tC doesn't resemble a 2.0 at all.

Yea - thats a BCP tC - they never made an RS in BCP. Also I BELIEVE all RS 1/2 had the 18" Enkei wheels
