Travel after the RONA..
Hi y'all, I'm now the proud owner of a used 2005 Scion tC. This came as a graduation gift, and I'm very excited to be part of the family. I've got some questions that might seem pretty self-explanatory, but this is my first car.
My Scion has a little over 200k miles on it, but has been incredibly well maintained by its previous owner. We live in NC and I think it may have only gone so far as Tennessee prior.
I want to know how much life you guys might estimate it to have left in it? I know Toyota engines are quite masochistic, but I plan on traveling from NC to NY at least twice in the coming months once school starts up.
I'm also considering road trips elsewhere in the States.
Any thoughts? Am I making a bad move here?

If it was as incredibly well maintained as you said and depending on if the mileage on the car is from city or highway driving, you could probably see another 100,000 miles or more assuming you keep up on maintenance, repairs, and check oil level often as higher milage engines will all start to burn some oil due to worn piston rings. You may also have to do repairs like motor mounts, shocks, struts, and possibly bushings but they could be in great shape. Overall, you could most definitely do some traveling. Welcome to the Scion family.
