What color is your pinstripe
I was wondering what color your car is and what color pin stripe you went with. Ive got a magnetic gray and was trying to figure out what color to go with. Would love to see some pics if anyone has any.
I think we know what a pinstripe is....
but the tc2 doesn't come with one....
thats the question (as assumed from the OP)
...however if it was something like "I have such-n-such color and want to PUT a pinstripe...then what color should I put?" is something different.
the OP looks more like he's asking what people have on theirs, as if it was an option

I know they dont come factory with a pinstripe. As a matter of fact the dealership here in gainesville is charging 2000 for a pinstripe add on. Got to love the dealer mark up.... I was just wondering if anyone had done an AFTERMARKET pinstripe one their ride.
Dealerships still install pinstripes? (both the painted and sticky kind).
I haven't seen those in years, though the auto-stores still have rolls of stick-on stripes you can buy and roll on there yourself. They're kinda like those ugly stickers that dealers used to put on cars until about 5 years ago... if the experience is good, I'm cool with leaving the plate frames on the car for a little while, but remember those little sticker decals they would put on the trunk-lid? or back in the 90's, the little stick-on, fake-chrome badges?
If you let dealerships think it's OK to stick on pinstripes, they'll start trying to stick on the dealer stickers again...

I've lived in Cali since early '07, so maybe people are still putting pinstripes, whitewalled tires, wire-hubcaps, and curb feelers on new cars back east (shrugs). They didn't even mention it, and they always try to upsell you on useless crap (ext warranties, paint sealant, scotchguard, etc.)

Dealer here still puts stickers on the trunk lid of the car. At least they kinda color match the stickers. Black dealer sticker on dark cars and a light sticker on light cars. Stickers are easy to get off anyway. Took mine off when I took off the "tC".
@topher: If you want a pin stripe, you get one. Won't knock anyone who wants to make their tC their own. I would suggest you ask one of the guys on here who do vinyls. Bloodborn is active here and does very cool custom work. His prices for full-body graphics are very reasonable, and I'm sure a pin stripe wouldn't be too expensive. I've also done some work with Nathan from Import Equipment who does a lot of vinyls and was great to work with. And if you go with a vinyl, you could take it off later if you decide you don't want it anymore.
I'd contact both guys and see what they have to offer. Both were very responsive and just let them know you got the sale through ScionLife.

OK... I scoffed, then saw another white tC with a black pinstripe. It looked really classy, given the sort of 70's/80's retro shape and straight lines of the tC. Most cars I've seen with pinstripes in recent years have been grandpa Buicks and Avalons, so I had a strong association with those.
I was getting tired of the big black lower-panel stripe anyway, and wanted to remove it before the paint faded around it and it had to stay.

Also, windows are tinted now. 35% so it's still very easy to see at night, but higher performance tinting to keep the heat levels down inside. I've had 20 before, and it was too dark for my tastes.
