I want to tint my tC and I found a kit and was wondering what everyone thinks also was wondering if it will fit the 07 tC.

dont do it. take your car to a reputable tint shop. you will be happier that way. I wouldnt trust those kits. I never heard of solar gard, llumar is good stuff. Spend the extra cash you wont regret it.

 

Yeah, I'm just tight on money. your probably right though. anyone know about how much a Tint job on a tC would be??

not even. you can get a tint job for about $150~180.

but do not do it yourself. spare yourself the time and money that it would cost if you messed up, because tinting isn't easy.

but i went to that guy wit another car b4, and so does my bro. so he is our tint guy.
so maybe he hooked me up......maybe not.

Depends on where you go and type of tint you use. I had 3M Tint (lifetime guarantee) installed on 4 windows (35%) + hatch (20%) and it ran me $225. Best thing to do is ask your friends. I'm sure they can steer you in the right direction for relatively cheap. Whatever you do, DON'T DIY! Unless you like bubbles!

 

$175 for 35% all around. I got the higher quality tint. the regular would have been $135

 

I was quoted $220 for mine using 3M...

General consensus seems to be ranging from $110 to $225.

like i said call for yours in your town!!! of course people are going to have cheaper tint other places.... it all depends were u live...if u have a lot of demand and shops there, then it will be cheaper... just call in your area....this topics come up all the time....

 

Agreed. In my region of north Atlanta the price seems to sit around $200 for a tint, but in Florida they're under $100 for the same stuff for whatever reason. You think they'd charge more since more people in the Sunshine State can make use of one...

 

paid 80 bucks for mine done all around. 5% back and sides and 15% front. with a lifetime guarantee.

 

got my 35% all around for $100. look for a local shop that does a good job while still being decently priced.

 

i got 20% tint and i have a viper car alarm, and my proximity was set high to where you couldnt even walk by the car without it going off. but after i put the tint it doesnt do it on the sides any more. just the winshield if you wave your hand over it goes of crazy!. But no one told me if i got tint id lose the proximity on the sides, something about the tint has metal in it and that s why it cant work.

In Tenneesee i got mind done for $180 15% all around
Then went back 5months later and got my windshield done 35% for i think $75. Both would have been more but i had this "repeat customer" thing.

 

Im getting mine next week $165 with a tint strip for 15% all around.

When I had my xb I bought a kit off of ebay and did it myself and it turned out great..

just have to be patient if your doing it yourself and make sure to clean clean clean those windows

Take it to a shop.....my friend bought one of those kits and it started to bubble after a month.....those kits are junk.....
