Sorry if this has been asked, but search came up with nothing. I have a 2008 XB and my power door locks lock when I put the XB in gear. My wife's 2007 TC has power locks but doesnt do this. Is there a option on her TC to make this happen?

 

Not that I know of. Maybe you can get the wiring diagram and make your own?

 

It's do able but idk if it'd be worth the trouble.

 

If anyone has a howto or a link, please let me know. Wife never locks the doors, and just bothers me thinking of her sitting a a stop light and some thug does something stupid.

I figure you could get a relay, one to the ground, one to the battery, or even right before the door lock button. then one after the button. attach the signal to I guess the neutral LED. I'm no electrician so please don't do this with-out a second oppinon. ^^ that should be awefully close tho.

 

Ever since I had my alarm installed my doors lock like this too.........it drove me nutty the first week.......now I kinda like it.........check with someone at Best Buy as their tech said it was in the cars wiring diagram on how to hook into it and make them lock......

 

i think if you get the scion factory alarm (installed at the dealer, not standard equipment, it's an option) and have an auto transmission with the tC then it will automatically lock when you put it into gear.

you'll have to talk to scion.com to see if this is true, but I've heard this.
