Hey there guys. I was planning on getting the 2008 scion tC as my very first car, but the "Second generation tC" topic on here caught my eye, and I was wondering if I should get the 08 tC or wait for the 09 to come out?

 

if you have not seen a "bone stock" tc or cant make up your own opinion about it then you probably shouldnt get one.

and it depends on your situation - if you need a car right now then you should probably get the 08. if you can wait, then get the 09.

 

Any idea when the 09's might be released?

 

I'd guess within the next few months. Probably during the summer.

 

if you can wait, then wait and see what they look like (if they change). If you dont like them then get the 08.

The new model will probably be a 2010. But then again, that's just wishful thinking.

 

Yeah they are suppose to stay the same for 09 (some even said there won't be an 09 ??? ) and the 2nd gen will be 2010 models that come out in mid 09

Sorry to go off topic again, but if I'll be doing a lot more city driving because I won't have to get on the freeway much to go to work or something since I'm only 16, would it be best to get an automatic?

It depends what you want....its cheaper to get a manual

 

ulll hate the auto after a while. just learn to drive stick and they are cheaper too so even better reason to buy one.

 

i would think the next gen tc would be like the xb... no 09 model and bring the new one in 2010.

and remember, the brake is on the left and the accelerator is on the right.

 

I say go with manual...but then again, it's all personal preference at the end.
