there was an article somewhere that the next generation of tc's will be 2010 and they will be out for summer 09. they don't have complete design yet but they are trying to make look like the fuse.

Originally, Scions policy was to not make 2nd+ generations of a vehicle. We see that this year, they changed that with the xB. It seems that Scion is going to be unpredictable for a bit. If I had to guess, the restyle of the tC will last through 09 but, we'll find out when Scion either leaks or tells us. Till then, I wouldn't concern myself with it.
Well I don't think it was to "not make 2nd generations"... but more of to refresh them at short intervals (3-4 yrs) whether it be by a new model or a redesign - which we saw both of this year.
Following the same interval, the tC would be due to change in some way for the 2009 model... but it could be 2010. The xB had no 2007 model in preparation for the 2008... so there might not be a 2009 tC in preparation for whatever comes out in 2010. Who knows.
There are lots of ways this can go, but with the whole Miami thing for the xB and xD, you can bet the tC or whatever it'll be (xP?) will be a big deal.

shouldnt it be coming out next year because the tC is only a year younger then the xA/xB so the next gen should come out the year after the next gen xA/xB.
I have heard that it'll come out in 09 which is really surprising for me.

what about the xP? that scion pick-up truck model? like like the subaru baja/brat?
then again...that doesn't fit the scion lineup which so far is all front wheel drive, 4 cyl hatchbacks with 4 spd autos or 5 spd manuals.
i'd like to see the tc replaces with a true sport coupe with rear or all wheel drive. but i know that won't happen. it will most likely be replaced by something like the fuse since the xb2 looks alot like the t2b concept. the tc's successor will probably look alot like the fuse, but called something like... the xF? or who knows because the FX35/45 is the name of the infiniti suv.

I, however, would like the Fuse to have a v6 option with an optional gearbox, rearwheel driven. Would kinda be like ok 16K gets you i-4 VVT-i with 4spd a/t // 5spd m/t and then 21k gets you v6 VVT-i with 5spd a/t // 6spd m/t I don't think its too much to ask for and it will kinda prevent what happend to the org. tC where it just came a cheap grad. car gift.
And to those of you that got your tC as a grad. gift and mod and participate in the forums then you are exempt from above comment

if they offered a more expensive model with a bigger engine and tranny and such, that would completely obliterate another scion hallmark.
trust me, nobody wants a scion with a v6 and rear wheel drive more than i do, but even know that will never happen. sorry to smash your dream.
I can dream DA*N IT! You always crush them drax
But seriously, Scion may be about affordable, but what about that small percentage that wants to make a true tuner. Do we get no love? W/E Toyo and Scion have me in their grips, I'll go with w/e they put out LOL although a xP would be cool, just saw a Mitsu Raider??? I think that was what it was called, but I picked it apart, needed to be just a little shorter maybe lowered a tad and "sported" out a little and that would be a nice model for the xP to mimick
barf! the mitsubishi raider? you mean the dodge dakota? it is just a rebadged pickup truck, not a sport truck like the xp concept. but yeah, i could totally dig a scion pickup like a japanese tuner version of the el camino, or ranchero.
