I'm not nearly due for tires but since 225's are a fairly common size I'd pick up a set if I see a deall. Just wanted to make sure no one had rubbing problems with the slightly wider tire.

Next question is, whats the cheapest rout to getting XM on the stock deck without using a FM modulator. I'm sure the cheapest way would be to get a universal reciver but I'd like to use the controlls built into the deck. Please guide me guys.

PS. Sorry if this has been asked before, I don't like cloging the board up. I just couldn't find the answers my self /w search.

The cheapest way to go is buy a "Universal" tuner and the PIE TOYAUX3:

All you need to do is turn on your device and press the "CD" button and viola!
I use this with my SIRIUS tuner. If you really want to be slick, you can use the Soundgate Aux3 with the PIE TOYAUX3 to connect your SAT tuner and an IPOD (or whatever) to the radio....like I do :D

I've got 225/45-17's. Continental ContiExtremeContacts, to be exact. I love them. They cost a good bit, but I'd do it again in a second if I had to. If you live anywhere wet or snowy, it's totally worth it. If it's always dry and you don't drive like a maniac, I wouldn't do it. But you're right about one thing - it's the stock size for a lot more cars (BMW and Audi come to mind) so you can find them a lot more places. They fit fine. The speedo will be slightly off but it's no biggie. The ride is a little softer too.

I wanted to get the 225's as well, I dont understand if the tire is a little thicker, why the speedo will be off?

basically the reason is that the 225 means the tread is 225mm across. The 45 means the sidewall is 45% of the tread width, so a 225 45 is wider than a 215 45. But not by much (96.75mm vs. 101.25mm). I think the number is like when the speedo says you're going 60, you'll be going 60.9 or something. I'll live.
