Was that really necessary....that link works for a plethora of vehicles.....and oh if that booklit isnt around and you want to quickly look it up online....heres another reason the prices...did you notice that guy paid $300 plus for something that could be done for half the price.....No need to be a D!ck....i was just saying its a handy link....grow up
yeah for the transmission it says to change the fluid, for autos. where the manual and scion.com don't say to do that, they "claim" it's "for life".. um, no fluid is "for life"..
So for you of there out there that have an Automatic trans on your tC, get the trans fluid changed at 30,000. Cheaper than burning up your trans later!

you do not need to change tranny fuild.. almost ever. its actually GOOD that it turns black. that is all benefitial clutch material. we do so much unnessaary maint.. BUT i am goign to do it BECAUSE i want my warrenty to work when something blows up at 59999 miles

Also, it is a good idea to check what the manufacturer--Toyota--recommends you do, in conjunction with the Edmunds website, which is a handy link.
Think of it this way, he could've just reported the thread and had it locked. I'm sure this has been posted many times before.
If you're too lazy, to walk down to your car and read the maintenance booklet, or the mere suggestion that you do so throws you into an existential crisis, you probably shouldn't be driving.
ok i called them, they change a couple of nonsence items like airfilter, and check (yea right, bet they dont even look at the stuff most of the times) a bunch of other things like, oh make sure your ball joints are still good.. what a rip
