the sidemarkers are from a 3 series BMW, they stay on with the running day lamps and turn off and on with the turn signals

photography company eh? good luck with that...competition is stiff...
IMO...there's too much gaussian blur used and ur hitting some spots that you shouldnt...
also...you're simulating shallow depth of field, but its not uniform...watch out for that...

Like Don siad, if this is practice for professional work, practice a bit more. Hate to be harsh about it, but its way over done for professional work. When you blur around a subject (say a vehicle) the blur should not run into the vehicle. And blur is not even across the board, (depth of field) is dependent on distance from the focal point, so you can just blur everything, it wont look natural.
Good luck tho man, photography is an awesome field, but takes alot to make it.

i havent just started doing photography so I know its not easy, I didnt really take my time with these photos, not as much as I took with these

ya competition is stiff, but I have a little bit of an advantage, im romanian and there are a lot of romanians in southern california and very few of them know how to properly use a camera

As long as you enjoy it, I just dont think those pictures are that great.
Pic#
1. The camera is focused on her belt, her face is out of focus.
2. AWESOME COMPOSITION. But the focus is on the ride side *****, not on the meter.
3. Way to much contrast, you cant even see where the shadows end and the tires, undercarriage begin.
4.I cant tell if focus is on the face or thigh, but the white balance is way off on the face. Cant see definition.
5. Decent shot.
I usually wouldnt point out such minor things, but you are just anyone posting pictures, you are trying to post from a professional standpoint. I post on Photography forums alot, I AM NOT THAT GOOD AT PHOTOGRAPHY, but the things I pointed out are rudimentary!! Just basic photography issues.
If you enjoy it keep with it. And dont take my criticism as bashing, its constructive, and thats the only way to get better.

nick hit the nail on the head...
also...is there a reason there's a weird vignette around all the images?
and with portraits...keep the focus on the eyes...
and watch ur rule of thirds...

Other than FOCUS, the most important part of photography is the rule of thirds (for composition that is).

Just be very careful if you post over there. Read through the rules for posting pictures and LISTEN to their advice. There are alot of professionals and amateurs on there and they will help you along. I was amazied by how crappy my pictures are after looking at theirs.
You know I post pics here all the time, over there I have posted MAYBE 2-3 pictures in the last year!!!!
