Default accident....

So, im turning left into a parking lot and bam...i get rearended

we're okay which is the important part, but my car

The bumper was torn off and my trunk all bent up. Couldnt drive it though....some of the body pieces were wedged against the wheel. Muffler looked pretty bent outta shape as well. Oh yea...and she also hit my sub and jarred it out of the box.

I'll have some pictures up soon and tomorrow when its light

I did find out though that she is on probation from a DUI, sooo...hopefully her insurance doesn't decide to play games (not sure if her license was taken away or not, the cops were very insistant on not disclosing info about each other...). I just know she got a ticket. I get to spend my friday figuring all this out.

sad day, add me to the list of hit tCs

How did it happen? Did you get hit while you were waiting in the turn lane, or as you were entering the driveway?

yea - the important thing is that we're all okay.

It was a two lane road (40mph) and there aren't a lot of turn offs. No suicide lane or anything. Plus a lot of people speed down that road too.

I'm heading to the towing lot soon and will post up some pictures. The ones I had from last night were all ____ty cause of the darkness and the flashing lights....

The sub box is going to be a pain in the ___ though. The estimator at the shop doesnt touch anything in the car, and her insurance wantds me to drive 30 minutes away to Jefferson City to have it "checked out"

Noticing Illinois plates....No big surprise there. Everytime when I am driving around N. IL I always see least one rear-ended accidents. My older sister got into one; a dumba$$ didn't noticed she slowed down and wasn't paying any attention hit her. (Same type of damage as your tC)

I may have couple speeding tickets but I avoided three accidents that were caused by other people including one guy. If I ever get into accident it will probably bed caused by a deer. (Knocking on wood)

Just pray there isn't frame damage and the person who hit you doesn't have the "famous" crappy Illinois insurance like that one company who has crappy TV commericals "Look it's Eagle Man; look at those low rates"

Sorry to hear about you car, glad you are ok. That is one of my biggest worries is to get hit in the rear as I am turning into my parking lot.
