Default Adjustable Suspension

What do you all think of adjustable dampering suspension, like the ones Tein makes? I would personally like a little more drop than the 1.25" that the TRD springs provide but I don't want it to scrape against the ground; however, this suspension poses a two problems:

1. I'm guessing aftermarket, adjustable suspension voids the warranty from the dealer.

2. They're super expensive.

What is the general consensus about this type of suspension? If you recommend against it what would you offer as an alternative if I wanted to drop the car to 3" (which the TRD springs won't do)?
