Default Ahh.....I am so depressed...need help!

I need some cheering up. I sold my drifter 240sx(S13) and am using the 4k on my down payment for my scion TC. I ordered it through Scion of Escondido. I got the SW with the 4 pc ground effects, Ped spoiler and TRD exhaust.....but the only thing I am kinda not sure of is the fact that I ordered in Automatic!! I have had a Integra Type R(JDM/RD) & a 240sx, all stick and now to an automatic. The whole reason I ordered in Auto is that my 240 didn't have a radio of AC and drove 2 hours a day in stop and go traffic so I wanted something I could just turn on the AC and tunes and just drive and relax and not get a sore leg from a Puck Clutch(old cars). But I have been thinking about it and I have to pic it up tomorrow and I am having doubts. One reason i want a man trans it because I may want to throw on a turbo in a year or two....I just need to get auto.......I need some reassurance. sigh.....

Well, I have the manual and love 5 speeds just b/c I had an auto before this one for 5 years, but they have the turbo kit for the auto as well . Hope that helped cheer you up.

auto is the best way to go if u r going to be stuck in stop and go traffic for 2 hours. i live in san jose and i am already tired of driving my manual in light traffic.

Get the automatic. If you were t go f/i, you'd end up with quite the unique automobile.

True true. Its just hard giving up the clutch and stick. But I think I will be happy in the long run driving the freeways to work. I go tomorrow after work to pic it up, I'm so nervous!! Never thought I'd be getting a Scion but they drive pretty smooth and are pretty sexy. I just cant stand the wheel gap so the TRD springs are comming out of my next paychecks(OT). I think the first thing after the springs is going to be the Kaminari CF hood(reverse cowl) and then some rims and I think Ill be done.

Do bronze rims go with CF hoods? I was thinking about going Work Emo's in bronze or the Axis Crux in gold...

LoL .. Same exact thing i was thinking.

Ahhh .. How i miss my Turbo MK3 Supra =(

But to be honest I made the right decision in selling my supra for something more reliable. Im hoping you would feel the same way too. As for me though I probably would've stuck to a 5 spd. I was thinking the same thing you were thinking about stop-n-go traffic but im happy I made up my mind with a 5 spd. But its all up to you though. Hope your happy with the decision you make

If you weren't in stop-and-go traffic 2 hours a day, I would have said the MT. But I think you will be happier (at least your left leg will be) that you got an AT. I had the same decision as you 2 years ago. I just got tired of driving a 5 Speed. Plus, the GF can't drive MT. And I'm not about to teach her! I like my AT tC a lot! Of course, I'm no racer either. So if you're one of them, you might be sad that you didn't get MT. I guess it all depends on what YOU like!

Look at it this way, with the auto, you'll save more gas than us gear grinders. Autos also hold a slightly higher resale value.

Besides, the tC has an amazing resale value, you can trade it in when the RS 3.0 comes out.

if you live around esco what traffic are you hitting for 2 hours, im in the same area and go to sd on a daily. but leg cramps MAN UP ALLREADY, other then that you can still change your mind because the dealer adds the extra crap themselfs, so you could tell them before they install it

I was going to go to the Escidindo to buy it, I live in Orange County. I usually drive the 91 to the 55 to the 405 and take Brookhurst to work.....easily an 1 hour 15 minutes, then drive to Fullerton college after work=45 minutes, and back home=20 minutes.

I just moved to Aliso Viejo last weekend though. If anyones in the area hola cause I dont know anybody!
