air condition went out am i still covered under wranty
ok so i ac just went out and i recently supercharged... i have 39000 miles havent had the supercharger a month could i blame the ac going out on the s/c
Well unless you bought an extended warranty, you're past your 36k miles anyways. Don't know how much they could do for you there.
It could be related though - since it's driven by the same belt as the AC compressor. Who install the s/c? Did you install a different pulley at all or is it all stock? I'd have them take a look at it.

In any case, unless you purchased an extra warranty, you are paying out of pocket. The only thing that MAY help is if it is proven to have been related to the install of the SC, which they would be liable for.
mallloynx, what warranty are you referring to? An extended one? The stock powertrain warranty is 6/60 like you mentioned, but does not cover bumper to bumper.

but anyway, take it back to the dealership and say "what gives, my a/c went out after you installed the s/c. i'd like to have it looked at please!"
maybe they messed it up on the instally, maybe your just out of frion or something and need it recharged, do you use it often?

My a/c is going out (interestingly). So far *knocks wood*, only the driver side vents (ugh) and the floor vents are blowing out hot air. Shame that it wasn't the passenger side that went. I've only got just over 10k miles and no s/c.
so i went to local shop checked freion and come to find out compressor aint even working and the wire goin over the s/c has started to melt i told toyota that the last time i had my car up their they were alike ok and zip tied it to a spot like 2 cm away from where i was so not it's melted the wireing harness i guess b/c when we changed the f use to the ac it blew immidately so im takeing it monday for service....
so i got it taken care of for all of u that look on here. where the wireing harness goes over the s/c a bolt had rubbed through the wire and caused a short...yay now to install my 9.5 lb pulley cant wait for it to get here hopefully today
