Default airbag warning sticker removal??

How to you remove the airbag warning stickers found on your sun visor. They are extremely annoying and take away a lot from the otherwise nice interior. I just took these stickers off of my friends car but he had a hard plastic. The scion tC material is a cloth. I tried peeling but it would not peel off and it would probably ruin the cloth. Has anyone removed these or does anyone have any suggestions. If not then I guess I have to buy those stickers that cover it up.

youll have to buy those stickers that cover them up. The airbag warnings are required by law so thats probably why they are sort of non-removable. They have been on everycar ive owned, you sorta get used to them. Every car has them but i also know what you mean in your post.

they are only required by the car company to keep them on there. The car company cannot remove them or help you remove them and they must be on the car when you drive it off of the lot. You are legally allowed to remove them after you buy the car. They are hard as hell to remove. I don't understand cuz its thouroghly written about it the manual. I've noticed already 25 views so people obviously want it off. Please even if you haven't done this post suggestions so that I can try it and we can all be rid of those stickers forever. I heard Goo Gone wrinkles the sticker and ruins the visor.

There is a scion sticker out there that you can put to cover it up. Its the exact size and looks pretty sweet.

I'm just recovering my visors in different material, though
the Scion Sticker was my first thought also.

Yeah removing the stickers I think more than likely will damage the material of the sunvisors . My advice is either getting them recovered or going the route mentioned earlier and getting the different stickers to cover them .

In my focus, I took a big fat pink eraser and a blow dryer. I heated up the sticker and then took the eraser to rub the sticker off. I worked preety well.

If you F it up- dont come back at me!

www.randode.com. Randode makes custom vinyl overlays that fix perfectly over the airbag stickers; he makes them in every color including carbon fiber vinyl.

well, those things are on there pretty good. The hairdryer will not woprk. I had it actually on the sticker and even that didn't help. It turned slightly brown in one spot from the sticker actually being singed. There must be some type of cleaner or solution that can remove stickers from cloth. I even sliced a line in one spot and figured maybe it was only glued around the edges but it is solidly fastened throughout the entire sticker. My only problem with getting the sticker is that putting it in that location would be something that no one would normally do. Maybe I'll just get some black fabric and put it on the side of the sticker or do the whole visor although I am pretty sure I'll F it up if I do the whole visor.

There's also this place, but I can't vouch for them. It's one of my next mods so I'll let you know!

If the car comes with the stickers they have to remain..It is a federal offense if they are removed...but if you buy another sunvisor or cover it up I don't see what is wrong with that.

I was able to take them off my VW with some rubbing alcohol. The VW had vinyl visors, so I'm not sure how it would affect our "upholstered" visors, but it came off as one big label.

Good idea, might just look for a Scion icon online or something and edit it to the size of the warning stickers. print them out on some sticker printing paper and vala. Have your own custom sticker cover.

I bet you never took that do not remove sticker off you mattress. The feds have mattress and car sticker teams scouring the country for scofflaws that do this.
