I hate to say it but its got the lines of the newer wrx sedan w/ the front of a new taurus to me...sad, was hoping they would keep an original look...but like its been described its an "evolutionary" change not a radical one...Scion why can't you just get back to your roots....

They look to be...generally the same shape as the current ones?

Looks like they cut it off. The current ones gently end at a rounded point, these seem to get chopped off in favor of a bigger pillar in the rear.

it has the same lines as the current tC with updated bumpers. between the fenders appears to look the same as the current car. wider stance? does that mean suspension bits are wider with higher offset rims or the whole car has been widened? of course we all know a replacement can't be the saem size as the last one. it has to be bigger....i can't wait to hear the complaining that that replacing tires will be more expensive now that it has 18's.

and i meant HS250h not ES250h.

^ it's the likely to be the updated L-4 from the Camry.

The powertrain upgrade is a nice surprise (if it pans out), but the body is lacking (based on the spy pics). It's probably best to reserve judgement until the real thing pops out. But the teaser interior is definitely a step down, albeit it has a few new (and needed) features. I'd take higher quality materials over cheap add on features. The interior panels would be expensive and difficult to upgrade, but adding a USB port is cheap and easy. And gluing on some felt or ulgy fake LV printed leather is not my idea of an upgrade.

In for the complaining on why they didn't do this, should have added this, etc.

Still big pillars.... I don't like the cpillar window shape either... (It's the only "Fuse-like" piece of the car....)

The Spy shots do show you a bit of what I was talking about a bit with the sharper a-pillar and c-pillar curves.

Wait for the tricked out tC their supposed to have there as well...

I still want the iQ.

well... once it is actually confirmed as to what it will look like, I'll decide then if it blows sunshine up my skirt. lol.
As this was posted earlier in this thread... the biggest question I have is if the new 6 spd manual trans will bolt up to our current 2.4's. If it is I will definitely pick one of those up and do the swap.

definitely with you on the tranny a 6 speed would be nice but i doubt this 2AR can live up to the Response of a 2AZ. i'm not gonna hate on this thing yet but we will see how it plays out

If the 6 speed transmission would fit into our cars i would swap in a blink of an eye ! All i would have to do is retune and i'm good to go .

Alright guys... official release info will go here:

https://www.scionlife.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=184134

And I'll try to consolidate it through the day into the first post. You can keep posting in this thread - but new, confirmed info should go in the other one.

^ Good stuff. But in reality, we're all wasting our time. Let's all just go out and buy Subarus. Rarara!

So here is where people can keep posting the same things over and over again about the new tC.

I'll unlock the other thread when we're ready for it.
