Are both of you oblivious to the fact Scion sales have tanked and currently only surviving based on the success of the original xB and now the outgoing tC. The new xB and new tC will do nothing to salvage the fact that Scion needed a refresh and what they came up with is nothing close to what they need.
Scion won't go away today or tomorrow, but as sales continue to plummet, Toyota is going to take a long hard look and either get back to what the brand means or scrap it as a whole.

It's ok. Not as bad as I expected but very cheap looking inside like the xb2 and they took a lot from the xb2. I'd have to see it it person but the five axis one is nice.
What the hell was the surprise that there wasn't a surprise?

The original xb got some amazingly harsh initial reactions when it was unveiled, but still people bought them. Based on what the 2nd gen tc offers, it wont make existing tc owners switch, but it will attract lots of potential buyers.
Yeah believe it or not, their decisions aren't solely based on what we want. There's a whole bunch of college students (and others in the age bracket) that don't have cars yet. Scion's objective is to capitalize on that.
And you can expect sales to fall for any car that has been the same for 6 years. The market is saturated and it's no longer unique, so why buy a new one?

i still surprised that the tc isn't auto-stick like the xb2 is and alot of new cars are; but surprised its 6-speed; sucks its a 2.5L now cuz wont that make alot of the current engine mods/upgrades not compatible?
I was an orginal xb1 owner and when the xb2 came out I was disgusted by it. But the more I looked at it the more it grew on me and I ended up getting one. As for the Tc I own one also and when they introduced the tc2 I had mixed feelings on it. But the more I look at it the more I like it. Just wait till peeps start moding them then you will see it's true potential. I think a good majority of us had such high hopes that it was gonna be the ft-86 that's why
