Default already thinking about selling

i just got my 07tC spec and dont get me wrong i like it but i'm thinking of selling or trading in on a 04 + maxima 6 speed. I just want options like leather seats, navigation, sunroof, heated seats etc and the spec doesn't have it. The tc does but the maxima has a 6 speed w 265 hp and i like that lol..just thought id share and hear some of your thoughts,

good luck selling, i tried a while back and the way things are now it is a pain. You'd probably be better off trading and taking a hit if you really want the maxima

kbb is usually higher then what a dealer will give you (i used to sell cars) you tell a dealer you want 15000 for it they come back and say its worth 14000

katzkin i think makes a leather interior and throw in some heaters while you're at it

then ad some rims and a turbo and you're good.

yeah save the money.. and hassle of losing a good car and work on the tc's.. they look better than the maxima.. you may lose the 5spd.. but your car will weigh so much less..

you can get all those options you want minus the 6speedd with a Tc.. you can get the leather seats. you can get the navigation, you can get 250whp.. you can get alot of other goodies.. think about that before selling..

If you wanted all those options then why did you buy a Spec?

That was the only car i would think about getting (that was in my price range at the dealer) and they gave me a really good price on my trade in. I had a 99 eclipse that had a salvage title with close to 155000 miles. They gave me almost 2000 on it and i had to get rid of it.

I am probably going to trade off on a maxima or at least a regular tc..

i really like the 6th gen maxima tho but gas mileage isn't too good in the city I know i'll probably take a hit when i trade it but its gotta happen lol whats your thoughts?

Sounds like you made a mistake getting a spec... be careful so you don't make another mistake.

Getting a spec instead of finding a way to get the extra $$$ and go for a normal TC looks like it's gonna cost you here (tax and title you paid on your car plus depreciation you will take trading it in) so make sure whatever you get now is really what you want and not just what is going to satisfy you until you realize you really want something else too.

I think people here might not be trying so much to keep you in a TC as they are just trying to make sure you don't waste money jumping on something else that you haven't really thought through yet.

What's with this Si guy anyway? I woulda thought Si's were nice enough you would have more to do than troll on some other cars forum if you owned one... aren't there forums where Si people can get together and be happy about their cars? You do realize that doing what you do just makes it look like Si owners are so insecure they have to try and undermine other's just to make themselves look better. Is the idea that if you somehow convince everyone in the world not to own a TC the Si will somehow become a better value or something?

I guess I am just glad I have better things to do with my time than actively look for places to go hate on people. But it takes all kinds I guess...

Yeah, it was a mistake. I didnt' know much about the tc and I didnt even know they made a spec. The paper didn't say spec when I bought it and the dealer didnt say the difference. This is my first car buying from a dealership.

I wanted a Maxima to begin with but couldn't find any and my other car was breaking down and I was at my parents house 5 hours from where i live. I didnt want to break down somewhere and be stuck. but I should have taken the chance.

I'm going to try to get some money together, either sell the tc or trade it in, (whichever i get more money with or whichever is easier) and get what I really want. I will probably take a hit but I'll have to compensate for it. appreciate your input.

and the si guy... why are you on here if you just put down the tc? i know its not a bentley but a civic isn't either.

Well man, It is going to come down to want you want. I love my tC but it does not have all the options i wanted. Then again i had an 05 Fully loaded Avalanche and i got rid of it for the tC. Make yourself happy thats all that matters. Plus dont forget you can put in most of what you said into the tC for a decent price, then you would have bets of both worlds.

Yeah, like a Si?
Dude, do what makes you happy. Just out of curiosity, have you even modded your spec? With a little cash, you can trick out your ride and have a good looking tC.
