I have already taken the car to dent wizard twice and today I come out and find another dent/door ding/paint scuff (all have been on my passenger side cuz of the driver).

Am I the only one with this bad of luck with my car?

3 separate times my car has been messed up due to inconsiderate people since April of 07. I am really thinking of not fixing it and not caring about my car anymore because my heart keeps getting broken. I am about to give up. I can deal with it if it was something I did or that was my fault like an accident. And I always park far away and walk extra just to avoid this.

 

You need to choose your spots more carefully. You might park far away... but if someone still parks next to you, it could always happen.

 

I see you live in NY, when I was there I didnt see a car that was dent free. But this was in the city, dont know what part you are at. Its crazy over there, I was born there lol

happens to me all the time. ive spent over a grand with the dent wizard at this point, and i still have 3 more big ones to get taken out because of idiots. on top of that, someone slashed my tires, so im back to my stock rims and crappy all season tires

people suck bad

 

There are people out there that park next to a nice car, no matter the distance, just to ____ them off.

Ive had 2 ppl crash into me and one hit and run..

man that really blows. thats why i try to park where it's empty on both sides D haha even if the walk to the destination might a bit far...

 

I try to park next to the nearest Lamborghini, so long as its not a Gallardo, so that I'm assured I won't have any door dings.

Seriously though, around here there isn't a flawless car. The only door ding (knock one wood) I have is from a rock shot sideways from a car carrier that hit my passenger side door. I agree people and their carelessness do suck!

 

i feel ya man.. not only do i have 7 or 8 door digs.. ive had 2 hit and runs...

to be honest.. in my neck of the woods, theres no such thing as parking further away and stuff... parking lots are small and over packed... on top of that.. no one cares or respects other peoples property...

 

yea just take up two parking spots when u park far away... it kinda gives other ppl the impression you dont know how to park and may want to avoid. then theres other ppl with people who have crap buckets on wheels who just dont care. but one thing i cant stand is when 7 yr old kids swing the door open like theres no tomorrow and ding ur car. thats what sets me off just makes me wanna

 

You my friend are not the only one. So far I was rear ended while at a red light. other car was traveling at about 40mph. hit the brakes just feet before impact. Surprisingly my car had just bumper damage.....his was totaled. about 6 months after I had this repaired through that persons insurance, I woke up one day to find that my front of my car was all scratched with red paint from another car (hit and run). My car was also on our own private land. someone must have drove onto it being lost and accidentally hit me then took off. no one in my family has a red car. Then about 8 months or so after that, I am a victim of a shopping cart that left a HUGE crease in the passenger side back panel. I was parked way the hell out in no mans land, UP THE HILL......and some how got a cart. i think it was intentional since carts usually don't roll up a hill. o well, the store cut me a check for the damages done to the car (estimate from Toyota body shop) and the car just came out of the shop yesterday and looks brand spanking new. My Toyota dealer does awesome work and turn around time is usually 3-4 days. props to them for all the fixes that were not my fault

 

i cant beleive the store gave u a check... they usually say not responsible for damages.... howd u do it?

yeah NY sucks for that...thats why its not worth getting a nice car here in NY. I even had parking in a lot for a while and my car still got hit twice. the good thing is if its assigned parking...you know who did it and can get revenge..... i really fcuked up a mercedes van because i knew the driver (female) didnt like to do a 2 point turn. so one day i knew she hit my rear fender right at the fender and bumper (which is a b*tch to fix). The tire treads curved right into my car (rainy day) I was fuming! soooo... took a pocket knife and everytime i walked by her car....shhhhhpppppppppp straight through the paint to the metal.....i think i did it 5-6 times...threw in some squiggly gashes too. they "tried" to polish it out...but the b*tch needed a new paint job paint job.....on both sides..muhhahaha

 

why would you lower yourself to her level(IF SHE DID IT ON PURPOSE)? you just admited to everyone you basically vandalized a ladies car numerous times... in my opinion thats a big u shoulda just talked to her about it and had her fix it...

 

I had to take mine into the shop 3 times because of the same S**T....I had mine since Aug 06

 

ha...man you don't even know how people are here in NY...maybe where you are from, people are that nice.. I've tried confronting (on my other rear bumper scrape/gash) with the guy who hit me from the rear parking spot..but all he did was deny...even when i point out my paint is still on his bumper (flint mica on green camry...at the same height as my scratch)....so what does he do...he goes out and gets a car wash and gets that area buffed out....so what do i do? my last day in that apt. complex i knock his driver side mirror off with a scissor kick... F-U

1st: if it were me...if its a accident, I'd leave a note...because i hate when it happens to me..and if its my fault..i take responsibility for it CAUSE ITS MY FAULT.

2nd:I don't hit anyone because i take my time getting out of parking spaces (i.e. multiple turns to MAKE SURE i don't hit the other car)... have a rear view camera, and also i don't want to hurt my car...duh

now if could find the punk a$$ who backed into and cracked my front bumper..... i got my old rusty sand-wedge waiting.....

i got PDR and the next day got a door ding on the SAME door! I'm leaving it go. Too much of a waste for a DD. Maybe when I get a beater, but not anymore.
