Another one...got my tC!
Long time lurker, just about first time poster. Just picked up my AT BCP tC today. I'm gonna miss my old baby a bit ('03 Mazda6) but I just love the way this thing handles. This thing is sweet as all get out and I can't believe it only costs as much as it did!
Only options would be an automatic (not a 5-speed guy) and the new pedestal spoiler. Only bad thing is there is a paint defect on my hood (under the clearcoat) so I will most likely be getting a brand new hood.
Oh, and no waiting list...got mine min from Gloucester Scion in SE VA. They had 3 tC's on the lot (including this one).

you should of get a manual that's one with the kick and more power feels like you driving one of those expensive sport cars i guess auto tranny is more your taste enjoy your new ride and drive safe...
if i could do it over again...i would get an automatic...hmm, but i love the manual, maybe it's just a newbie manual driver talking.
nah, i'll stick with the manual, when can you spin the tires in second with an automatic. plus, it really makes me pay attention to the road. anyone half asleep can drive an automatic.

Congrats! I am also a new tC owner (in fact, so new that I don't even HAVE it yet; the dealer is installing my options and I'll get it by Wednesday)... a Black Cherry Pearl manual transmission tC. Damn, manual tranny cars are impossible to find! I was calling and e-mailing every dealership in Southern California and Nevada! I didn't even care so much about the color (just no white and no azure). I am thrilled I found the exact car I wanted!
Of course, the Miata will always be my true love. But damn the tC is fun!

My quest was to find a manual transmission tC right away, not something that I "ordered" and waited 3 months to get. I really didn't want to buy a car now... but my Miata has some kind of electrical gremlin and it's been stranding me in weird places for a month now. It's my own fault (too many mods), but I don't have the time to figure it out properly.
So, I eventually got in touch with Miguel@ Family Scion in San Juan Capistrano. They didn't have a manual transmission car, but they offered to find me one. Three hours later, they called to say they had worked out a trade with another dealer on a manual BCP tC for me! They didn't even want a deposit; a fax of my approval for the loan through TFS was enough. Wow. When I asked if they needed me to come to the dealer today and sign paperwork, they said "Nah, your word is good enough."
Wow. Like... actual trust and service. Who'd have thought? After I spoke with Family Scion, I got a voicemail from Karim @Northridge Scion. He offered to do a search across all Southern California dealers to find me the car I wanted. I had to call him back and thank him for the offer but let him know I'd found a car. Nonetheless, Northridge Scion and Family Scion were the only dealers who were willing to help me find the car and color I wanted.
don't want to get of the tc topic but what is the deal with auto and manual tranny,it seems these days it's hard to get into a manual tranny, wanted a manual tranny xb and the dealership didn't had any in stock at the time two weeks after buying they got about 10 xb manual bumer....
