For pete's sake people, a 5 year old could figure out how to swap out antennas. Did you even try looking at the antenna in the first place? Its pretty self-explanatory.

Here are the instructions for the slow kids:

Lefty Lucy
Righty Tighty
Insert old antenna into rectum

well accually you guys are replacing the antenna mast.....so he was thinking you got the whole Antenna setup from an s2000 which WOULD require you to removie the whole unit from your tC and reinstall the s2000 unit

The S2000 antenna doesn't extend down the base as far as the stock one. Suggest putting some silicone sealant or something similar in this gap to keep water from getting in. It also helps keep the antenna from getting loose.

Nah, I understand what he's saying, but the worst that would happen is the threads on the antenna could get wet. It's not like the water will go anywhere, nor damage anything. I've had my S2000 antenna since July. It's been through rain and snow and it's still tight and the reception is still perfect.

You might want to put some Loctite on the threads to make it a little more difficult to steal.

$14.78 + $3.95 S/H == $18.73 out the door shipped.

Fits perfectly, looks like it came stock. Reception is just as good as stock.

The S2K's base is slightly wider, but it fits fine. I kept the one I had on my 01 GTI (where it fit the exact same way), and all is good.
