Default Any in-dash dvd player that plays while car is moving?

All the ones people r getting (which look nice) do not play dvd while the car is moving. I understand the law problem but I wanted one that plays dvd for the sake of my passengers. Anyone know one that does that?

they all do. it is the install that usually will take care of that. i know when i had my 7" flip out in my previous car. they have to hook it up to the e-brake so that only when the ebrake was applied the tv would play DVDs. but that can easily be bypasses. im not sure how the new kenwood or eclipse work but im sure you can do it.

word is that the new pioneers don't--they don't use a wire hooked up to the e-brake, but rather they use the gyroscope. If the gyroscope senses that the car is in motion, then it won't play DVDs. I don't think there's a way to bypass this...

The Eclipse units use the e-brake sensor though, so if that wire is grounded it is possible to play DVDs while in motion...

I'm sure someone can open it up and disable it.

I don't if it's worth it though to disable the gyro, as it aids in the NAV process (for example, loss of GPS signal). Maybe one can disconnect any connection between the gyro and the DVD player, but I dunno if it's worth it if one can get units where the e-brake can be bypassed (Pioneer Avic-n1, Eclipse units, etc.)
