Default Any Nor Cal tC owner want to go on the race track?

Ever wanted to see what your tC can do at the race track?

Ever wanted to really open up the throttle and drive as fast as you wanted on a real race track in a safe envirorment? A good oportunity to put some of those new go-fast-parts to use!

Ever wanted to learn some high performance driving skills? Learn about apexs, late/early apexs, oversteer, understeer, throttle steer, threshold braking, and the driving line?

THIS January 29th (Sat), 30th (Sun) at Thunderhill Park (3 mile, 15 turn course). ~1hr North of Sacramento in Willows,CA off Highway 5.
This is open to all makes, including Scion tC!

Registration:
http://www.clubz.org/track/012905.html

Additional info:
To celebrate clubZ's first ever 2-day track we have introduced something very special:
Sunday 30th we will be running Thunderhill in reverse!
Join us to experience this rare oppurtunity.

- The drivers will be split up into 3 groups according to driving experience and car performance.
- Lunch will be provided.
- Snell 90 or newer helmets are required. (Thunderhill rentals ~ $25)
- Typical track time is five 25 min. sessions. (tentative schedule)
- Full 3 mile track!
- Total number of participants will be restricted to prevent overcrowding.
- Cones will mark the apex of all corners.
- Event will run rain or shine.
- Skidpad and Slalom set up for use in between sessions.
- During the event, we will be hosting car control exercises in the paddock. In between sessions you will be able to experiment on the slalom or skidpad. These will be set up mainly to benefit beginners, but anyone who wants use them are welcome. There is no extra charge for this, and your guests are welcome to try it too!
- Saturday night dinner/social included.
- If you are solo approved, passengers over 18 will be permitted.
- Instructors will be provided for everyone, but with event organizer approval, drivers can be allowed to drive solo. (advanced group solo by default, instructors available by request)

CLASSROOM - Saturday - At 6:00 pm we will also be provided classroom discussion. This can help you improve on your drive from Saturday and prepare for running in reverse on Sunday.
INSURANCE - This is a high performance driving school. Not a racing school. Most car insurance companies will cover you. Check your own insurance policy details before going to the track.
SAFETY REQUIREMENTS - Be at least 18 years of age (16 with parent signature) with a valid driver's license. - SNELL 90 or newer helmet. - Approved roll bar protection for open top cars. - A safe car in good working order (see tech inspection checklist for details).

I saw a silver tC in Tracy today that was lowered and tinted. Maybe he will see this post.

Actually some good friends of mine with the SE-R club are trying to put together an event at Big Willow in Southern California and are having some trouble getting their numbers. You can contact them for more info. Nissan SE-R should be a closer match for tCs too, instead of 350Z and 300Z TwinTurbos.

Here's a copy of the email I got below: Contact Carlos for more info as he's running it.
So I'd like to extend this invitation to Club Z. Many
of you have attended our track days before and can
vouch that our are run pretty well and are safe.
Please come if you can, SERCA is risking all of our
money renting the expensive big track and we need to
at least break even. This could kill the club if we
suck and lose our shirts!

Mike

Hello fellow Datsun/Nissan track nuts!

Online registration for Big Willow on St. Patty's Day
is now up at:

http://www.gfos.net/serca/2005/bigwillow/reg.php

Please note that we cannot accept "very 1st timers" at
this event,
however if you have at least 1 track event completed
within the last
year or two that's OK. Feel free to forward this
information to other
"hot-lappers" and direct questions to me at my club
email below.

Thanks for your support of the SE-R Club of America
(SERCA)!

Sincerely,

Carlos Gutierrez
