Default Any xB Regrets????

hey now that the tC is out, and the supercharger is being released in October/November, are there any xB owners out there that sometimes question their decision to get the box? I've always wanted a fast car and sometimes i feel that if i waited a couple extra months I could be driving one. I love my toaster, but still...Thanx in advance!

Yup...I am heavily weighing trading in my Lava for a TC. If I do it, it will have to be before 2004 ends

NO WAY! I don't know how anyone who truly loves the xB could goto the tC. Especially if you guys are rocking the hot lava.

at least i'm not the only one...but i'm in a 2 year lease deal through my father, who works for Central Atlantic Toyota, so the earliest i could get a tC would be in March of 2006!! Aahhh

Default but i test drove one

i kno i love my box, and there are many advantages it has over the tC (gas mileage, size, orangeness) but i made the mistake of test driving a tC about a week ago....now it seems when i step on the gas of my xB its always a lil bit dissapointing lol

Don't get me wrong...I love my box, but the TC seems to be calling me with a Voodoo like chant.

I drove one and liked it but it's only good for two people. The leg room in the back seat with the front seats back is almost none.

The tC is a cool car, much faster than the xB, and everyone I know likes the tC. But, that's the problem..Everybody likes the tC. I love my box because some people like it, and others hate it: making it not as common (although I'm starting to see more on the streets). Its uniqueness and room is another reason why I enjoy it so much! I like the tC, but not enough to give up my ride

Love my XB, wouldn't trade it for 2 TC's. The original topic I believe was "Any XB Regrets" The answer to that is none. If the question was "Any XB Frustrations" Or where did Toyota screw up the answer to that would be.
The car is to air tight, when I try to close the rear door unless I have a front door open it won't close and latch without excessive force. Number two is strictly a Scion Security related frustration. Why can't a company as big or as good as Toyota make a security system that won't chirp when it is activated. Now that I have put my thoughts down in writing about the bad things about my XB and thinking again would I rather have my used XB with 11,000 miles on it or a brand new TC the answer is: My Xb

I Love my xB. I didn't buy it for speed( it's not a hot rod.) I bought it cause it is one of the coolest looking things on the road. I don't feel one bit of regret. If you want speed buy the tC or another hot rod just get what you like as for me there is no other but my xB

NO WAY! I love my Box. My wife on the other hand can't wait til our 2 year lease deal on her Matrix is up. She will be ordering a tC. She thinks the kids will fit fine in the back seat. Of course since we've gotten the xB we hardly drive her car unless its a really long trip where I want cruise. around town the kids don't even want to ride in it. so in a way in a year I'll get to drive a tC anyway so I'll have the best of both worlds. i just gotta have patience.

Let me clarify...I don't have any regrets, but I do like the TC alot, but I will probably keep my box and mod it some more.

No, apples and oranges. The box is the perfect all-around package.

And to be honest, if I was craving speed, i don't know if that would then put me into a tC, anyway. If I had to stay within the Scion lineup then yeah.

I just don't get the feeling that most people were wooed by the Scion brand and then said "Which one shall I get?" With me, it was "I gotta have that funky square box" and then the Scion part followed. I picked the car, the car company was just baggage...

Nope. I love my box. There were many competitors of the tC available when I bought my xB earlier this year that I could have chosen if I wanted an average coupe. Am I gonna want to trade my box in every time another new coupe comes out? Hell no! Why would you? Just 'cause it's "the new" Scion model?

Don't get me wrong, I like the tC a lot, and think there's no better car for the price, but it doesn't have anything that my box does, except the Scion badge.
I'd love to be able to get my wife one though, because it's a great deal, but if I were looking for a fast car, the tC wouldn't be it.

You know, there are gonna be TONS of posts like this later this year when the SC comes out.
"Any NA tC regrets?" "If only I had waited a few months I could be driving a fast car."

I agree - if you want a fast car, look elsewhere. The tC is sporty at best. Get a '04 Cobra (390HP) or a WRX, or if you need some Love from the land of the rising sun a used TT Supra, TT 300ZX, TT RX7, VR4 (Also TT, see a pattern here?) and the list goes on. But I wouldn't know - Mines not do in untill next week. :?

The Box is a wonderful unique ... one of kind car. It will soon become a collector's car when production stops in 2 years.

As for the TC... it's a great buy for the money. It's not really for speed (but has adequate pickup) rather it's the value of the car that will attract buyers. It's a simple hatchback with enticing options... it doesn't turn heads as the xB. Eventually, the TC will become common on the road as the civic is. And the only way to be unique with a TC is to modify it to stand out.

The box is even a greater value with so much room and features...

If I had the money... i would have both in my garage over one WRX. I have nothing against Sabaru..but i think it's way overpriced for such car. Scion is about value and quality.
