there like a sucking sound when i shift my gears coming from the engine area. any idea what that might be. is it because its new??? i have driven a couple of people in my ride and they all ask what that sound is. to me it sound like a exhaust or intake but i dont know for sure

My ride does the same thing, i notice it when the rpms drop during shifting-as insanetc said, sounds like a turbo winding down.

Sounds like what we B15 Sentra people have attatched to our OEM airboxes . It's a resonator chamber . Remove it with a CAI , and you'll think you have I/H/E/ instead of just a plain jane CAI .

Default whistling sound...

I had the dealer tech ride along with me and they told me not to worry about it... he said it sounded cool... Not sure I agreed with him...

At least I know it's nothing bad...

Yeah, its been covered in a couple posts already. Issue lies with the stock airbox making the noise. Its not an issue, every tC I've seen so far does it. BTW - I'm not surprised about the intake not getting rid of the noise. My previous car had no whistle stock, but got one when I put an intake on it. Nothing to worry about.

hahahah

this is lik the 50th repost on this topic.

guess it cant be helped.

but the whistle noise comes from the THROTTLE BODY. when at a particular angle, the air that is let in makes a noise. even with a CAI or new intake the sound will stil be there because its from the TB not the CAI

Default 1st gear

is anyone having the occasional problem of shifting (back) into first gear. such as when starting from a stop light. I have to reset the gates by shifting into third (clutch in) then I can get the shifter back into 1st. It can be embarrasing.

50 reposts or not, thanks for the heads up... definately been hearing the little 'turbo' but only under acceleration... figured it might have been a vaccum line or something... good to know it is "normal"..

its because tye syncros are stil new on your car. it will take time for the syncros on 1st gear to break in and shifting into 1st shoud get easier. but for now... make sure you are at a complete stop by shifting into 1st
