why oh why scion, do you not offer just plain black..
now that Ive had black sand pearl for 2 months... I find myself preffering just plain black more than the pearl paint..

plain black looks much deeper and cleaner when waxed, while I find black sand pearl look like gun metal or flint mica mid day and even after a deep claening and wax, it never stays pure black.

IMO I just find plain jet black much sexier and cleaner looking than the pearl stuff, which makes the car look grey during the daytime.


anyone else think this way?

I agree with you, actually crossed my mind when I saw a clean looking BSP pass me by, it does look alot lighter than most black colors.

omgosh yes! idk if its just me but at a certain angle in the light, BSP looks kind of brown. eww. but yes jet black would've been nice.

TOTALLY ABSOLUTELY AGREE WITH YOU!!!! When I went to buy my BSP and saw the color swatch, the salesman said take that and add a little peal coat and that is it. When I received it, I was more disappointed than anything. There is nothing Black about the Black sand Pearl, if anything a deeper shade of flint mica with pearl coat. The jada option D diecast is the exact black that they should have done. If my car ever gets gouged up and needs to be re-painted, hint hint, thinking maybe I can get it jet black. Just my $0.02 though!!!!

I completly agree, mine only looks awesome right after i wax it for about 2 days and then it looks like crap. The funny thing is, I bought mine used and when i was telling everone about it I said it was Flint Mica. Come to find out it was just dirty and it was really bsp. Im not a big fan of it until night time, then it looks good.

i completely agree. at times bsp looks good, but gets dirty to quick
