Default Anyone else learn stick on a tC????

Yeah my BCP tC came in a few days ago. I love it and all, but I'm just learning to drive stick and I'm really not good with not being able to pick stuff up immediately (paraphrase: impatient). Plus, I live in a city of hills, stop signs and old white people that freak out if you stall in front of them (God forbid they lose three seconds of their lives on me). I was wondering if anyone else out there learned stick on a tC and how long it took them to pick it up.

it took me about 3 days to get from point a to point b. and about a 2 weeks not to even think about it, it was like driving an auto only funnier.

Yup, learned how to drive stick on the tC. For the first week, I would stall at least once a day (just auto kill, not grinding kill), but then I got the hang of it and by the 2nd week, i was doing it subconciously

yea, I learned in my tC also. I kinda already knew the basics before then, but no real experience by myself.
It was scary driving it home the first time and merging onto a highway...while it was snowing.

Yeah I just got back and I....well, my friend was with me and he was drunk and yelling the basics of it in my ear and I couldn't help but listen. I think that's the most alcohol has ever helped anyone.

Getting the hang of it....

I learned with my dad in his 89 Grand Am

First lesson, he took me to a 45 degree grade and made me go from a standing stop! Didn't take me long to pick up the basics.

I learned the subtlilties on my buddy's Hyandai Accent coupe(after burning up his clutch trying to make a start in third gear!)

Default learning stick on tc

yup...tc was my first car and learned how to drive stick in it. It was by far one of the best decisions to get stick...way fun once u learn. Only took me a couple of days and once u drive it around for a while-learning to start on uphills and backin up on uphills-u can drive any car. Now its way fun!!

i didnt learn on it, but it has slightly different engagement than the car that i did learn on. took a day or two to get used to. the throttle delay took about a month or so to get used to.
