 One thing that was really neat to me was the upgraded auto dimming mirror. If you were fortunate enough to get this option it includes an auto dimming mirror of course with built in homelink for those extra garage door openers and also reading lights underneath. What's cool about the reading light is that when you look at them you will see that there are 3 diff. colors coming out of the socket that converge to make white. Its really cool to look at. You can see all the colors mixing together to make white. Just thought that was neat is all

also if your doors are locked, and you are getting out of the car, you dont have to unlock them, when u pull the lever, the doors automatically unlock

Hey everyone go try this now!
i've known this since the day I had my scion.. Press and hold the feel/hear/neutral button for like 3 seconds, and it says XA or XB, and u can change it. come to find out, it changes the harmonics of the stereo to match the interior shape.. I noticed it alot when I had it on a videotape, it sounds VERY different on video, nothing major in person though.. Just a neat little feature I discovered...hehe LATE. -Tylor |
Dang, my wife's Grand Caravan has that same feature where you can still power things for 30 secs after the key is off. I have been wishing the xb had that..
There's an article in the Tech section about the airfilter on the xB. I bet the tC has a similar setup in the same area. I know I pulled the glove box on my parents new Corolla to see if it had a filter. It did and it was a very similar setup to the Box. Anyone see the Simpsons episode where Homer buys a bazillion 12v accessories for his car? He's watching a cooking show and cooking hushpuppies in his deepfryer. The hush puppy burns his mouth and he rolls the window down to spit it out and realizes he's driving down the pier. In his panic to react, he grabs a sheet of paper and writes S.O.S. on it, sticks it in his fax machine and screams "transmit! Transmit!" as he sinks. DOH! |
Here's something nobody has mentioned yet. On the inside of the hatch on the lid. There are two handles, left and right. To help pull down the hatchback when open. I like it because it enables me to close the lid without touching the outside of the car. I don't like to leave fingerprints on the car after I've spent hours washing and waxing. You can pull down with enough force to get it closed and still have time to get your hands out of the way.(With some practice)
Maybe nobody mentioned it because nobody cares. But I know you guys who detail your own cars will appreciate those handles. |
