I got mine in October of '04. And people have been telling me 68k is a lot of milage...I think they are right.

i'd like to know how the tc holds up after 100k, but it looks like i'll have to wait a while for that. i hope to keep it for many many miles until it gives me lots of problems or something expensive is required. its always nice to have a reliable car thats been paid off, and i hope i can drive my car for at least a couple of years with no payments

Default Well over 100k on my tc!!!

Hey PDSTC, I just found your post and I am pretty sure I have the most miles on a TC. I could be wrong but I ordered my TC in October 0f 2004. I got in December and I now have 125,500 and adding every day. I drive 1000-1500 in a five day work week. I will post pics of the car soon. It's garage kept and it doesn't have a ding on it. I love the car. I drive all highway and I have never had a problem with the car. I still have the original brake pads with 20% left. I change the oil every month 5000 miles with mobil1 synthetic and rotate the tires. I changed the coolant with the oem coolant and chaged the pvc valve and plugs all with the factory parts at 100k. I just came back from Atlanta today and I am on my way up to long island NY in two days for a two day trip. I am sure I will get 300k out of the car and I will keep you up to date. Bottom line, maintain your car and it will be good to you! I added navigation, sat radio, led taillights, hid lights, orderdd it with leather, and added motorola bluetooth. I am on my third set of tires and I have to say this car drives like the day I bought it.

thanks for the info. sounds like its gonna be a good long lasting car. I'm almost done putting money into my car and having it look, feel, and sound the way I want it, then its time to pay it off early and sit back and relax for a few years with no payments. I already have lots of scratches though, but I do keep up with the maintanence so hopefully she'll be good to me.

Your welcome. You can't avoid the scratches on the car if a-holes are around. I am a tech that travels all over NC and SC for my job so I get 36 cents a mile. It paid for the car within a year and half. I have been banking in the milage ever since. The car makes me money every time I start it. I drive the truck on the weekends so the TC is mostly all work and little play. Toyota makes a great product and the main reason for the purchase is the fact that it is a Camry that looks good!

Wow, and I thought the 30k I put on my Saturn last year was alot. I'm glad to know that I purchased a quality product, but then again it is a Toyota so it should last for a long time.

76,000 purchased august '04. =x

No major problems, actually no problems at all. i did all the oil changes, brakes, and so forth. I baby my car so she feels good.

although this one time (and it only happened once) i was driving on some random high where the speed limit was 55 and i had cruise control on, and i was coming to a stop and when i put the car in neutral (with the cruise control button still on/lit) the car starting revving and stayed at ~4200k for like 5 seconds. i panicked so i turned off the engine and it never happened after that. it happened when i hit ~60k miles.

Other than that no major problems. hopefully there wont' be any by the time i hit 100k

Im at 82K and mine does that periodically too. Nothing to do with cruise on mine though because i don't use it unless im driving LONG distances, like hundreds of miles or something. When i push the clutch in the car will keep a steady rpm for as long as i was moving. I had to come to a complete stop to get the rpms down to idle. I thought it just might be the needle sticking, but i can actually hear the motor. I tapped the gas in neutral just to see if that helped and the rpms went up and back down to 4K ish again, weird!!

I actually think its related to the bouncing tach issue when coming to a stop in neutral. It has been discussed here but i can't remember where

Whats with the guy who said autos only last 100k??

I had A Chevy with 275k and no rebuild. BMW 175K no rebuild. I always do mantianance. I hate to miss an oil change or ay kind of regular stuff.

I KNOW I will get 200K out of this car even though it is an auto

I agree. There is no reason for any modern car to last less than 100k unless its wrecked or abused.
