Default Anyone with the TRD exhaust... how much?

Did any of you get the TRD exhaust setup thru the dealer? I know the price is $525 online when you build the tC, but do the dealerships charge extra for installation? if so, how much? and is the exhaust really worth it? Keeping in mind I HATE loud exhausts, and love refined rev sounds :D

supposedly, now the TRD exhaust won't be a port install option since it's a TRD product.... (apparently, ALL TRD products will only be dealer installed... dealer told me this and i spoke to the ever famous "Moe" on Scion "Ask a question")

my dealer told me this after the fact and agreed to install the exhaust, springs, and sway bar for me for $160, which i think is a deal just for the springs. now, it may still be a port installed option in your area so double check! as for installation prices, that just depends on your dealer's hourly rate.

fwiw - my Exhaust was port installed. Same price as website (525?)

It sounds good, but it's definitely present. it especially announces its presence under load at over 3500.

Loud enough to make you upshift whenever you see a cop, but probably not loud enough for him to pull you over. There's a link somehwere in the forum to a video, and the sound is pretty good on it. It sounds ballsier than most 4cyl NA engines.....

2JZ, I was told on the contrary. When I ordered my tC, installation was free, such as the exhaust, I pay $525 and no install fee. If I find out differently when the bill comes, someone's going to die.

If you really want some extra noise for no reason - order the TRD exhaust from http://www.mcgeorgeparts.com for $360 + shipping and put it in yourself. With tC's height you probably won't even have to jack it up... It's 2 big bolts and couple of rubber hangers that you will have to fight, but nothing scary at all.

Plus you get to keep your stock exhaust - in case you get tired of stupid extra noise for no reason
