anything new in 2006?

Well if they stop making the SSM then it would mean it was offered for a "limited time" therefore making it rare color in the tC's.
Just because most of the cars on the road are silver doesnt mean its not rare. It depends on how many cars of that make were sold in silver.
Like my Mx6, only around 2000 4-wheel steering Mx6's are in the US. I happen to have one, with one of the rarest blues produced also. :D
My blue is all over other Mazdas, but not many Mx6's are my blue.

I highly doubt they will get rid of silver. Blue maybe, teens/college kids, blue seems to be becoming a new hit color (lot of SRT/Evo/Mazdas/etc.) I saw on a special on the news though that Silver is the number one bought color of cars overall. I think this has been proven already with the tC and the amount of silvers out there? If they were going to get rid of any color I'd imagine it be Black Cherry? I like it but I'm sure they sell it the least.

They are replacing the silver with "classic silve mica." There is a thread in scion news about it. They are still unsure about what will be replacing the blue, although I expect it to be a more intense blue.
