Default ASquared150's thread: UPDATE: Farewell!

UPDATE 5/21/13
Part-out is a GO! Please see my thread in the PPC's: https://www.scionlife.com/forums/sho...69#post4109069

Hi all. I've been on the forums for a bit and had my 2009 FM tC since late June of '09. Finally got a bunch of parts (scroll down) so I decided it was about that time to start my picture thread.

STOCK

WHEELS
18" Enkei Evo-5's w/nitto neogens. Got them from Ukno0003. Usually I would have started with performance mods, but I got these wheels for such a good deal I had to do it.

SPRINGS
Since I got wheels, I couldn't bare to let it sit in 4x4 status. Grabbed some used TRD springs from the classifieds. Now I'm thinking the TRDs aren't low enough. Looking at either some S-Techs or the Raceland coilover... IDK... opinions?

NEW STUFF
I saved up a bit and got down to business. All this stuff should be on in a week or two. (hopefully sooner than that...)

NOT PICTURED: New Kumho Ecsta SPTs for the Enkeis, S2K Shorty Antenna (popped that on about 5 minutes ago)

A Few More Pictures

And then one day I found my dream car (one of them at least) sitting for sale in a parking lot - had to take some pics:

UPDATE 3/16/10:
As of tonight all those parts seen above are installed. Did the tail lights, intake, and axxtion short shifter (and shorty antenna haha) by myself; enlisted my dad to help out with the rear sway and exhaust - which we did at the same time (took off stock exhaust, replaced sway bar, put on TRD exhaust.)

I LOVE my car. the exhaust sounds awesome. Just starting the car is awesome. Haven't had a chance to really try out the sway bar just yet - that's tomorrow. The intake is great and the axxtion short shifter is absolutely ridiculous. It's insane. Pics sometime this weekend.

UPDATE 3/17/10
Took a few quick pics today outside of the garage:

Good call there dude haha. That's why I got the Kumhos. Front drivers side wouldn't hold air and the rest of the tires were pretty worn.

I forgot to put this up top but I've thinking of painting the 3... lip? divets? i dunno the little indents in the Evo-5's. Orange. Then putting hints of orange elsewhere - around the top and bottom grills somehow... IDK what does everybody think?

*EDIT*

I did a little photoshopping a while ago when I got the idea for the orange. Maybe that'll help.

This is Ukno0003's CSM, just crappily/lazily 'repainted' to be close to FM

It looks good, I'm sure it'd look better in real life, maybe with a different shade of orange, imo.

Well, kinda. Actually my dad is the director of the Morton Grove Library so maybe you've seen him. I go to school at Indiana University in Bloomington so... not really.

Those boxed parts up top - I'm putting on the tail lights right now actually. Hoping to install the exhaust and sway bar while the bumper is off too.

Tail lights are on. They look niiiiice. Pics soon. I'm hoping to get the exhaust and rear sway on today as well - then maybe I'll work on around to the front end and put in the CAI.

I'm thinking about getting some ramps for the exhaust/sway bar adventure...
