Okay, so how big is the performance difference between the 2? Im not going to be able to test drive this thing for about 2 weeks and i dont know which one to get. now, Im comming from a mazda b2500 4cyl pickup manual, which i hated shifting because it was too slow to have fun with. Im hearing the tc is pretty quick, especially for what im used to, but is it enough to pick manual over the auto convienance? btw I am planning on some minor engine mods :o

 

9 out of 10 people will tell you to get manual

 

The manual will be a little quicker, but it's more about enjoying driving stick rather than the performance gain. Personally, I get extremely bored when driving a auto and feel like I don't have control of the car, which I was I opted for a manual.

 

ill be that 1 person and say AUTO! i like my auto!

Hey I like the auto tranny too!

I just like the 5speed more! It's all personal preference.
The auto tranny will even feel fast coming from the Mazda, so i suggest just picking whatever transmission you like more. You really have to test drive to understand.

 

IMO i think our cars are SLOW...and if you get a auto......

 

everything is relative my friend.
there is no exact definition of "fast" or "slow"
He drove a really slow truck, and now he is jumping into the tC. Either transmission will seem faster than his truck. Thats why i think he should really test drive both transmissions before deciding to buy one.

 

well he should be 5speed because he had no fun with his truck and being that the tC is faster, he will appreciate manual again
