"Available" status
If I wanted one of the tc's whose status is "available", on the online inventory,on the dealers webpage, how long would it take before they would get it in stock or i could pick it up? I tried contacting the dealer via email but havent gotten a response and its been over a week.

Thanks for the useless info. I work from 7am -8pm or later and cant call long distance from work. Also im not going to drive an hour and a half away to ask them one quesiton. Thus the reason for contacting through their site or email.

I've tried calling dealers on their inventory also and found most of the time that their website is out of date. Car listed is no longer available...
Your best bet is to call the dealerships and find out exactly what they have (if they even have any).

Dealerships are also normally open 6 outta 7 days, and if you work 6 outta seven days as well, look into leaving work early to give them a call. If you cant cuz you need the money badly, you shouldnt really be looking at buying a new car should you? There are no other dealerships closer to you than an hour and a half? Chill out and reassess your options.

While I was waiting for my tC I found out that available just meant that a dealer close to the one you are looking at has the car. That really does not mean available. More then likely the car is already sold to someone else and either has not been picked up yet or the web page has not been updated. It doesn't even mean that the dealer with the car will even make a trade to the dealer near you. Not the answer you want to hear I am sure.

dont believe what salesguys say... i was in florida and the guy told me that if i bought the car... he guaranteed that id get laid the first weekend i had the car..... they'll tell ya anything to get u in a car

BRIANR you are correct. the websites will show any available car in a particular region on every dealership website. IN STOCK its their car or is on their lot. its confusing the way they set it up. people come in complaining about the website saying something is available, and technically it is, just probably somewhere in BFE louisianna.

Lots of dealers don't even post tCs on their inventory cause they come in and then out the door.
the best thing to do is to grab the phone and call.
I was dealing with one dealer and after the second week they told me they won't be able to get a car for me before 4-6 weeks so my boyfriend started calling dealers (friday night) and Saturday afternoon I was taking my tC home.

available means they can get it for you (as in order it or get it from another dealer) instock means its instock waiting for you to buy it. I was looking around for a quicker way of getting my tc and also got confused with the word usage.
