i actuall saw that in the dealer demo car, looks pretty good, but 75 dollar seems too expensive for me. if you are mad about apperance, get it, otherwise, stock tC look way too good for its price already.

$75 isn't much for UV resistant carbon fiber with the tC logo on it, especially when it's a perfect fit.

Hey guys... if you want to buy the carbon fiber applique and you aren't afraid to install them yourself... you can get them for way cheap at the following places...

I just ordered mine from McGeorges and it cost about $46 for the part plus shipping & handling. I recommend going with McGeorges because they seem to have pretty decent shipping & handling charges. I checked with Partznet and they charge the shipping & handling per item ordered... McGeorges, I think, charges the shipping by the total price. I placed an order for a bunch of things and my shipping & handling only came to about $21.00.

$46 + $5 shipping from McGeorge Parts.

If I could get other CF stuff for the exterior (mirror covers, hood, etc.) or even for the interior I would probably get them. I think they look ok, but I'm not really hot to get 'em.

I don't think I will. I liked them before I got my car, but I've kind of cooled off on them since.

I believe they're just peel-and-stick. Clean the surface, line up the CF overlay and slap it on. Email paul@mcgeorgetoyota.com and he'll send you the instructions.

I believe my future projects include amber under-dash and cupholder lights and probably the Bazooka subwoofer, unless I decide to do a custom sub. I was also considering the auto-dimming mirror, but it seems expensive for what you get.

I never got the whole carbon fiber thing. Its not real carbon fiber, just carbon fiber "look". The ironic thing is that stuff thats usually made out of carbon fiber (High-end bike frames, airplane parts) are usually painted so it doesn't have that look.

Having a carbon Fiber hood is kinda like going to a junkyard and picking up a hood that different color from your car and installing it without repainting it. It just looks kinda silly. But then I've noticed two-tone body kits are all the rage now too...

its kind of silly, but that just my opinion.
