So, yesterday my friend and I took off nearly every single mod from my tC and returned it to stock. Only the CF spoiler and the SS brake lines will stay on. Oh how I had forgotten what it was like to drive stock. I believe when I turned the car on again, I almost wanted to make the engine sound that it used to make. The mean grumble. No sound at all :[ how did I stand it before? How could I stand stock suspension before? Stock sound?

But I must say, the OEM tail lights look so bright red it shocks me every time I see them.

To anyone out there who has also "downgraded," isn't it true that downgrading leaves a bigger impression on you than upgrading? It sure does.

Anyway, you may ask, why take off all that awesomeness? Because I'm trading it in for a 5-speed :] and I'm doing it all right this time. Which includes some RockBlocker! How I despise those billions of rock chips.

For now, it's farewell, and looking forward to a clone black tC which will receive the inheritance of its predecessor.

I have to say it again, riding stock is another world.

mike (whocares05050) is a local tC'r. recently i bought his I/H/E exhaust setup and we swapped stock pieces for aftermarket on our cars. he hates the lack of sound/power.

 

yeah its just strange. like driving a whole other car that you dont want to drive. yet we didnt mind when we got them :D

 

took my header off. much happier now that i have my torque back. exhaust gives me enough hi end power to have fun
