bad day...

Default bad day...

someone bored into my friends car yesterday and basically cleaned inside of it form all valuable things... including my car keys... just wan to know how much it coast to get a new one(i know im not going to be happy when i will find out) and i also wan to know if u can change codes in my spare key just in case someone would wan to use that stolen one? is that even doable? im really thankfull for any advices

thats sucks... as far as i know the new key would be like 300 i think..

well i like the second option more;) well yeah it sux but thats just a lesson for me to not leave stuff in a nice car, in a bad neighborhood...

glove box was closed but that wasnt enough... and i know i should had have them with me but we were going to a club and i didnt want to lose them...

these things come in handy for stuff like that. saved my keys from falling off tatsu... a very awesome roller coaster which took the life of my last cellphone

pretty sure if you want to change the code you'll have to get a new ecu and then code the keys to match

^^ if the dealership tries to pull that crap on you, just get a new key and leave. unless the person who stole your key knows where you live, they'll probably run the battery out in the remote trying it on a bunch of cars before they find yours.

i think that they found that key and they were trying to open my friends Tc which was standing across a street bu then they tried to get into another car which had alarm on and thats what scared them away, but thats only what i think may have happen...

and no i dot think they know where i live cuz i went to that place for a first time and it was like 20 miles form my house so yeah...does anyone has more info about that key coast? one said $300 and somebody else said $100... i jsut hoep its going to be closer to that second one...

don't drive to your friend's place in your tc, lol. use a diff car just in case. insurance won't cover anything if the theif has an actual key

pick up an aftermarket alarm system and use that instead.

i got a copy for 70 bucks, but that was a copy...

as for getting a key without the original key present, tough to say, which is why i shot a guess of 100

well guys im sorry for my grammar but i was writing that post at my work and i didnt had to much time to read it and correct an errors...plus im in US since 04 so im still learning anyways thank you all for help. Im going to a dealer tomorrow morning so i will know everything and i will be more careful next time cuz if mine baby would be stolen... eh;/
