Wouldn't you want to protect the wire somehow? The main power wire of the car completely exposed running inches from the ground doesn't seem like a good idea. A well aimed rock and it's going to be ugly.

i ran my power wire through the inside of the car though

i had the little clip wire from the fuse box grounded, i dont why they made that wire black.. i thought it was a ground.

thanks again all

no, glad u got it figured out, im curious to see what you do with your car, i loved it before (when it wasnt yours) so im hoping you make it even better.

i didnt want to run the power inside cuz the 0 gauge is so damn fat. lol

I wouldn't feel comfortable running that outside unprotected as the sheathing on wires isn't strong at all and cuts very easily. Just from looking at the third picture, the wire is already coming in contact with metal. Over time, that wire is going to vibrate and get worn. If it finds it's way against an sharper edge, the problem you had with the fuse box is going to be nothing in comparison.

you guys need a fuse within about a foot of the battery, especially if you ran the power wire under the car. you're going to end up with a car-b-q

did you connect the 0 gauge to the fusible links (if the tC has them) or did you just cut all that off and wire direct?

1. show me a fuse that can handle the draw from the starter and ill think about it

2. there is no fuse between battery and starter solenoid.

my prev. car had the battery in the trunk from the factory and 99% sure there were no fuses between the batt and starter
