Default Best header for me

I have a 2006 scion TC pretty much stock. I have the dreaded catalytic converter going out and I am gonna do away with the cat and get a header so there is no need.

My question is what is the best header I can get for my range being 150 - maybe 400 max. Now I have no plans what so ever to add a bunch of upgrades except fuel economy. A little more get up and go would be nice but not required.

Please give links and input.

I have a 2010 tC and right now I'm running a DC Sports 4-1 header after switching from a Megan 4-1. Honestly it's not a huge difference between the two, but the Megan had slightly more power in the higher rpms and the DC feels a tad stronger in the low/mid range. Either way it's a nice improvement over stock.

did the dc headers come real close to the fan shroud and radiator??? im getting a header from a friend but its not dc (not really sure what brand it is at all). but i saw his header (that i am now going to get) in his tc and it sat further away from the shroud and radiator and his was heat rapped as well.

there are no cost effective mods that will net you any fuel economy or performance benefits.

the only bolt-on parts that will actually get you more power are forced induction and nitrous. everything else is just for sound and fury.

seriously, I have a turbo tc with 311 whp, I still get 27 mpg on the highway, only I have to use 93 octane instead of 87.

Mpg on boost holds a very strong inverse correlation with weight of right foot though. You can get 30 or 10...10 is so much more fun though.

I don't know about mpg gain for a header... but I am actually getting a Strup 4-1 header. My buddy had it on his and he has had both DC and Strup. He swears by the Strup header!!!!! Don't get me wrong the DC is still a good header but the Strup sits a little further away from the radiator and produced a little more power (don't really now the exact specs).

I say go with a Strup header!!!

But remember ur car ur mods!

I get about 22 mpg in regular driving, and no, I don't take it easy and drive like a grandma. I didn't turbocharge the car not to use it!

Can't remember what I typically. Don't put enough miles on it to really keep an eye on it. And yeah why boost it and not use it.
