I need a new set of wipers. What do you guys consider the best?

 

The OEM wipers are fine for me... I haven't had any others on my tC yet though. Have you priced the OEM or are you just looking for something aftermarket?

 

actually im looking for the best value overall. Im not too fond of the OEM, but if I can find a good price on them, then I dont see why not.

I've had the Bosch wipers on past cars and I really liked them.

don't forget he uses a stolen whiper from a local gas station, a bucket filled with sewage water, and newspaper to wipe off the excess water

 

newspaper is actually pretty damn effective at wiping of windows and not leaving scratches.

I dunno why it works, it just does. Kinda like the Pythagorean theorum.

 

PIAA Super Sporza. I had these on my previous car. (not the cf ones) They looked freakin sweet with the little lip. They were also like 25 bucks....for one blade.

 

Yeah, I'm not a tC owner, BUT:
On all my vehicles, unless there is a problem with the original (OEM) blade assembly, I replace ONLY the blade insert, which is in the $5 or less range for a very good one.

My favorite replacements are the "Teflon Blade" inserts from NAPA.

They have a stripe of Teflon down each side of the blade so they don't judder and squawk if the window is not wet enough. The other aftermarket manufacturers also have equivalent blade inserts available.

I only replace the entire assembly if the assembly itself is mechanically bad for some reason. Here is an image of one of the NAPA inserts on an xB, followed by an image of the original Toyota OEM insert that failed.

i'd go with Anco.. they've been pretty good everytime i've had them..

 

the tC stock ones run pretty well. even smooth w/o water on the window... but maybe it's because mine are new.
