Beyond OBD -> CAN decode
Hello all,
Yesterday I purchased a 2010 Scion tC. It's only been a day, but I'm lovin it so far.
I assume the OBDII port under the dash uses Controller Area Network (CAN) for its signaling. If the tC's CAN design is similar to my wife's 2006 Prius, this port isn't limited to OBD messaging. All of the ECUs in the vehicle communicate on this CAN bus. There's alot of good info to glean from the OBD codes, but the inter-ECU messaging has even more.
For my wife's 2006 Prius, I found a few people who spent some time decoding these CAN messages. Using a USB-to-CAN interface for my Windows notebook, I wrote a simple app to read and display this data... pretty cool stuff.
Has anyone heard of this sort of CAN decode for the Scion tC?
Thanks
