Default Black box under hood??

I was changing my headlight bulb to the silverstars and to my suprise over the left headlight or if you are looking into the engine the right one. There was a little black box that had a date on it and it said BLACKMORE i think. What the hell is that? It had some wires connected to it and a ground wire that was screwed into the side of the car. WHAT IS IT?? I have to move it to get to the light but i put it back...any clues?

I would slowly step away from the car and run as fast as possible before it goes off.

Break lines? No it has electrictal wires and it's a little black box that you can move around once you have cut lose the ZIPTIE and it has a blue or green cant remember ground wire that is attached to the side of the car.

if you open the hood it's right in front of the right headlight. I had to cut it off to get to the light so i could change it. It had some numbers on it and a date and some name like black something or something HA! and it was connected with some wires and grounded by a cable that is on the side of the car well inside the hood. I wonder if it's for the alarm? i dont have one maybe i do it's just not activated?

i think he's referring to the "recorder box". its like the black box they use in air planes, records your destination and whatnot, tells the government things about you that you dont want them to know.

I dont think that's true. Because if it was all scion tC's would have it if that spot. But i talked with 2 other people who went outisde to check and they dont have it on their tC's. So i think know if i believe that.
