1" seriously? i'm on h-tech's and it's like.. perfect, any higher would look weird, and any lower and i'd rub hardcore, and they feel a lot better than stock, this is 1.9 in front and 1.5 in back lower, highly reccomended.

also, thanks for answering my questions, i have the oem sub for my '06 so it's wiring is a bit different...

 

No prob... The only stupid thing i'm worried about as far as lowering goes is messing up the underside and front bumper on steep driveway's, huge speed bumps, and what not... Do you have any issues like that with your setup?...

 

my driveway is horrible, ask tC2_thumper, it's *really* bad, i don't scrape ANYWHERE though, and there are some monster speed bumps at our school too, he's in TRD's and I'm on H-tech's (lower than TRD) and neither of us have trouble, if i go too fast up my driveway though i'll scrape, but i've only done it like once.

oh god no, i had a friend who works at toyota do it, took him like 5 hours with all the tools, only cost me 40$ worth of parts for his gas powered RC car... i got lucky though...

 

a small drop like trds shouldnt be too bad round here. i'm on hotchis and it isnt bad either i know river rd = death

 

Not reccomended for a DIY then huh? lol... I never changed springs before, so I wouldn't know... I did figure it would be a PITA tho...

 

Tell me about it, I almost hit that one curb that comes out of nowhere under that bridge by the construction around golf and river rd ...

 

yeah you need a spring compressor to make it easy, and even with one, it's still pretty time consuming, tC's rears are pretty hard too.

I made the job a bit easier on my friend and ripped up my car so he could get to all the stuff before i dropped it off to him, that shaved some time.

and well, he did it off the clock so if someone working there needed the tools he gave them up...

 

se-chicago is having an install meet & bbq this sunday, stop by n see how springs go on. there's a few of us that can do spring installs.

 

now that's a good plan! there's a few guys in my club that can do springs too, but i didn't feel like bugging them yet as i was still new.

Hey I'm getting my hard wireing put in tomorrow for my passport. Where did you run the wires to get it to come from the ceiling?

 

Well since I couldn't remove the A pillar to run the wire and put it on the bottom of the windshield (stupid life saving side airbags ) I decided to put it up there... Basically, what I did is I went to AutoZone and got a "Add-a-Circut" and probed around in the fuse box with a multimeter till I found a blank spot that turned on/off with the ign. I also added a "Killswitch" to it - I used one of the blank covers by the power mirror switch - drilled a hole and put a switch in there... I routed the wire up the side by pulling back the black trim by the door, and then gently pulled on the A-Pillar at the top just enough to pass the wire up to the headliner where I ran it to about the middle of the car... I also left some slack for easy removal of the radar when I leave the car...

 

Wow! Sounds like a heck of a job to do... Well I guese we will see what Best Buy can do for $45! haha!
