Default Blank panels by mirror control switch

Anyone notice like 3-4 blank areas to the right of their side mirror controls that are just begging for various switches and buttons of some sort?

I'll post a picture of it later when i get home, but just wondered if anyone had put those to use yet.

LOL!

But really, they are for interior light kits and other various add ons that require a switch.

Yep... my scion security takes up one, and I've seen pictures of people with the illumination kit that takes up another. I've added a switch into one to turn my sub on and off. That leaves a few extra...

I could use those... too bad they didn't give those to us. Oh well. I'll deal with my little alternate change holding area.

I'm pretty sure the Matrix had some coin holders that fit in the switch panel slots. The little switch panels pop out and can be used to hold other things of the same size. My way old 88 Camry had a couple of those slots with little coin holders in them.

One of mine has the LED light switch, the other has the security icon. I know one can be used for fog lights. I'm not sure what else would 'officially' go there.

Dunno, but since they have the space it doesn't make any sense to not take it up with something. I'm glad they left space for whatever we decided to put in.

That trunk monkey release keeps coming back up...

What I wish I could get is some nice little lettering, like they have for "illumination" with the LEDs. Frankly, I'd like that little switch too, although the one I got at Radio Shack for my subwoofer cutoff is pretty decent.

If you get the fog lights w/ the scion accessories does that take up a space? Or are people talking about aftermarket fog lights that take up an extra space?

I think either one of them can but I don't know if the dealer supplied ones do by default. If I had the fogs I'd definitely want a seperate switch as well. Too bad you can't buy nice prebuilt switches from the dealer for your DIY projects - I like the ones for the interior lights with the little switch that say illumination on them. But now that I have my sub switch, I'd probably just match that with anything new. The labeling is nice though - I don't know another way around that.
