Default Block Guard

How good is the E.L. Prototypes 1nz-fe / 2nz-fe Block Guard. I put one in my friends Civic.I'm thinking about getting this for my turbo project. My moto is do it right the first time and you won't have problems. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Aside from posting the block, it's about the only thing you can do to prevent the cylinder walls from moving around within the block.

Good luck trying to buy one, I've been calling EL for months now.

I know what is does, but different people make different block guards (not for our cars). I was just wondering about the quality of their piece. But if you've been trying to get one that means that they probably don't even have it. Thanks again man

EL makes decent block guards.

I would never use one though. I prefer Golden Eagle before EL. STR may be interested in doing a custom one for you, which is what i would suggest, i used a STR on my civic, and never had any problems.

E.L has had the block guard for the xB on their web site for a few month now. I'm surprised they don't have it out by now. I know what the benefits of the guard are, but are there any possible downsides? Could there be any overheating issues due to a lack of fluid circulation? I know they drill circulation holes, but does this still present a possible problem?

I had a guy from TPS West Palm today try and call up EL to get them in gear on internals and such for my build up, it seems the number was disconnected.
