Hey thanks for the answers. I'm still waiting for a hands-on with someone over 6 feet tall. I'm about 6'6" and the Mazda 3 is one of the few compact cars I have found to be comfortable. I am hoping the tC will follow suite, if not I will just give up on the idea and break down and buy a used Accord Coupe or something. haha.

How large was the glove department and the storage department built into the arm rest? Any nice extras like a 2nd lighter-outlet? How about a sunglass holder above the mirror up front? Notice any little things like these?

I'm so jealous Erica! I got to see it in LA, but they wouldn't open it up for me Thanks for the detailed report, although it doesn't make the wait any easier

the car is absolutely amazing in person, and it is going to be HOT! I just can't wait for the ride and drive, which still isn't going to be until June.

the glove box was pretty big, i think larger than my corolla. the arm rest had 2 storage spots, one flatter one, that was kinda hard to open, and then the larger one below, that can hold probably a cd case(one of the smaller ones) if i remember right, the 2nd power outlet was down in the armrest. the first one was near the shifter...although this one was an automatic. No sunglasses holder. but i forgot to write last time that it had one option on it, the glowing lights at the feet. looked pretty cool.
one thing i'm starting to not like now that i think about it is the steering wheel, i think it needs to be more sporty. but i think i have to spend more time with it to like it more =o)
sorry im not taller to really test it out for height problems.

Thanks for the pic of the xB in black cherry.

It does kinda look purple in that pic.

Darn, I really can't decide on a color.

Hey, one other question I had was: Does anyone know if the back moonroof can open as an option or it that one strictly a moonroof while the front is a sunroof too? Please let me know. Thanks.

I really need June to hurry up and get here.

Also, I had heard June 3rd is the actual date but only as a possibility. Has anyone else heard of an exact release day??

the one i was in, the back sunroof couldn't open. I highly doubt that will be an option.

Here's a picture of mine, so you get a better idea of what the color looks like.

I'm so excited about all these pics people are posting. I'm thinking I really like that black cherry, it looks very wine-ish and purply on the pics!

However, I am very upset with that last post about the 23rd!!! I heard the 3rd! I can't wait until the end of June, I'm going crazy the way it is! My birthday is the 24th of June and I BETTER have it before then!

If anyone else hears of a date, let me know please!

Personally I like that the back "moonroof" will not open. One less headache. Also majority of people buying this car will NOT have people in the back seat area a high percentage of the time.

Come on June 23rd.

I feel your pain, if I get mine before you get yours and I am in the S.F. area I will stop by and let you drive it for a while.

So I ordered my tC but I still haven't decided on a color yet.

Thanks for all the black cherry pics. So far that color is in the lead, however, blue azure pearl and flint mica are running VERY close seconds!

If anyone has pics of the tC in either the black cherry or the flint mica, please post them either on this thread or on the specific pics thread. Thanks so much!

Also, I'm welcoming any opinions on the color, I need help! I'm being very indecisive! :D

On the other thread, https://www.scionlife.com/forums/vie...er=asc&start=0 it shows pictures where the back panel appears to be open. Does anyone know if this is only on the prototype or if it's a standard feature? I don't see why they would make the whole roof glass and then not allow you to open the rear panel.

there are actually 3 panels. 1 small one, 1 large and 1 semi large. the large panel slides back while the small panel tilts up.

Or said another way, the main sunroof pops up and slides back and the glass strip in front of the opening pops up as a wind deflector. The rear sunroof doesn't open.

1. no need to be rude.
2. i hardly visit this site.
3. i am one of the ones that origianlly asked this question with no one answering me at the time.
4. all i've heard was that it's closest comparison is the new Tiburon. if it is that car is too damn small for my needs.
5. so all in all, thanks for nothing. and again your rudeness is not appreciated.
