anyone install the Vizualogic CiG Blue Bluetooth System. I just purchased and wanted to know of any tips, tricks or problems with installation/operation.

 

I was wondering about this today. Does the audio come out from the stereo speakers? If it doesn't then I probably wouldn't buy this product.

 

When you answer the phone, it takes the sound away from the radio and it sends the sound out... basically it is a pass through switch. The radio hooks to it, it hooks to the speakers. I think it is very cool.

 

i will let you know after the install how it went. being shipped to me now. i am trying to figure where i will mount the microphone. i would like to use the magnetic base rather than the sticky tape. hoping it is strong enough to adhere through the a pillar trim cover or maybe just behind the driver visor on the headliner.

 

any update? Mine came today and I would like to see what others did...

 

I got the Pioneer AVIC-Z2 with the ND-BT1 .. works great with my 755p Palm Treo

-Voice Dialing
-Can dial out from the headunit
-Transfered phonebook
-Speaker volume automatically goes down when receiving/calling
-Nice little mic
-Phonecall comes out of car speakers

Think that's everything.

 

Well, The Vizualogic CiG Blue Bluetooth System came today. I took the car apart and had everything undone. The instructions suck!! They don't even show the right graphical representation of the device I bought. They are telling me there are wires on the Bluetooth system that aren't there and I have about 10 extra unlabeled ones! Then to top it off, I have about 60 wires going into the factory NAV system and when it says tap it into the pink/white wire, there are three of them. So, unless I get a wiring diagram of the scion's wires, I'll never be able to figure this one out without probably 5-6 hours of testing lines. What a bust. I might send it back.

i will be installing this weekend. i have the stock premium and i am counting on the 05-07 wiring diagrams to be the same as in my 08. mine came with all the labels intact so if you need to know which color of which connector goes where holla. i will try to take pics of the install and upload.

 

Just got it installed yesterday... works really well... The audio system diagram provided in the link for 2007 will work fine. You'll be cutting into the Front Left speaker (violet and pink wires) and the acc (gray wire). You'll be tapping into the blue (positive) and brown (negative). It's pretty simple and all of the wires are on the same connector. It was just overwhelming to start because there are about 70 wires back there...

 

ditto, i installed on sunday. works great. where did you put your mic? mine is on top of steering column.

 

That's where I put mine because I don't have the time now to wire it above the sun visor. I'll eventually be putting it up there and hiding it behind the fabric.
